How To Take Screenshots On Samsung Galaxy Phones
This tutorial will be divided into four methods, and below are the various ways you can take screenshots on Galaxy phones:
- Method 1:Use the hard key to capture the screen
- Method 2:Use S Pen to capture
- Method 3:Swipe the screen to capture
- Method 4:Use an external screen capture application
Option 1: Take screenshots of Samsung Galaxy with hard keys
To capture the screen using hard keys, first select the screen you want to capture.
Once you have identified the screen you want to capture, press and hold both the Power button and the Home key for 2-3 seconds. When the phone screen flashes and makes the “Splash” sounds, it means you have successfully taken a picture of your screen.
This method is applicable to all Samsung Galaxy phones such as Samsung Galaxy Y / Trend Plus / V / V plus, Samsung Galaxy Galaxy J – Docomo / J1 / J1 Mini / J1 2016, Samsung Galaxy J2 / J2 Prime, Samsung Galaxy J3 / J3 LTE / J3 Pro, Samsung Galaxy J5 / J7 / J7 Prime / J7 Pro / J7 +, Samsung Galaxy Core / Core 2 / Core Samsung Galaxy S3 / S7, Samsung Galaxy S3 / S8, Samsung Galaxy S2 / S3, Samsung Galaxy S2 Note 2 / Note 3 / Note 4 / Tab A6
Note: You have to press two keys at the same time for a period between 2 to 3 seconds to capture.
Option 2: Take a picture of Samsung Galaxy screen by pressing and holding the S Pen button
You can as well take a screen capture using the S Pen. This applies to phones with stylus S Pen like Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5 Galaxy Note 8, the Galaxy Tab A Plus 9.7, Galaxy Tab A 8.0, Galaxy Tab S3 and the likes. In addition to taking a screenshot with two hard keys as shown in method 1, you can also take a screenshot by pressing and holding the S Pen button and touching the pen tip on the screen for a few seconds until the flashing screen flashes.
To view your screenshots, go to the Gallery and find the Screenshot category, or go to the file manager, locate Picture folder > Screenshots folder of your device.
Option 3: Take a screenshot by swiping your hand through the screen
This is a very quick way to capture screenshots on Samsung Galaxy phones. After selecting the location of the screen to capture. Method 4: Use third-party support
If method 1, 2, and 3 have been used and still can not capture the screen image, try to use a third-party screen capture assistance. This is very much on the Google Play store (download here). Finally, if you have used all the ways for some reason and you still can not take screenshots then try to reset the phone.
