Now there are no more doubts: Vivo Nex will be the name of the long-awaited smartphone “borderless”, so far known as Apex. Last week the mobile device manufacturer confirmed that it will host a launch event in Shanghai on June 12th to launch a smartphone with a frameless display: everything suggests that it will be the former Vivo Apex. The company has, in fact, released a new poster on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo to confirm the name Vivo Nex and the launch date.
Already in some recent rumors, it was revealed that Vivo was going to proceed with a rebranding of the device that made its first appearance in the Mobile World Congress that took place last February in Barcelona. The official announcement then took place in March this year.
As emerged from the teaser, the new Vivo Apex phone will be equipped with a revolutionary technology, which suggests the fingerprint sensor in the middle of the display along with other advanced features.
Vivo has not yet revealed too many details regarding its new smartphone, but previous rumors leaked on the web have confirmed that the former Apex (now Nex) will be equipped with a 5.9-inch display with an 18: 9 ratio. The device will also feature environmental and proximity sensors integrated into the display. An interesting feature of the phone is that the top of the phone has a “hidden” 8-megapixel camera, which includes features related to artificial intelligence (AI) such as intelligent optimization, ultra-dynamic preferences, and the multi-frame.
A fairly recent report indicated that Vivo could launch two variants of the Nex smartphone. The main variant will have the front camera on top and will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, combined with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, priced at 4,999 Yuan (about 667 euros). The other variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor combined with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, at a price of 3,798 Yuan (about 507 euros).
