0

Vernee M7 has just been unveiled at the 2018 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company first announced the smartphone on their website on the 26th of February as an update to the Vernee M6.

The M7 is the latest installment to the M series which focuses on sleek smartphones with an affordable price. The new device sports a bezel-less display with the trending top-notch and twice the camera on the M6. Without further ado, meet the Vernee M7.

Design

Vernee M7

The smartphone combines the latest trend design of Metal and Plastic mix unibody. A beautiful and stunning device it is with three beautiful colors. It has a nice and smooth finishing by the sides. Coming with the trending dual rear camera which sits majestically at the top middle with the dual-LED flash beside it.

The rear fingerprint scanner is underneath the dual shooters at the back for fast access to the phone, just like the Galaxy S9 Plus. By the side, it measures just 7.2 mm in thickness and weighs less than 190g overall. The company added the Gold color edition to the Vernee M7, making it available in Blue Black and Gold colors.

Display

Vernee M7

Just like the Huawei P20 Lite i reviewed earlier, the Vernee M7 comes with the trending top-notch which is expected to flood the MWC this mobile season. Sporting a brilliant 19.5:9 aspect ratio and giving us an iPhone X bezel-less vibe. But unlike the iPhone X, the bottom bezel is still pretty much visible, while the top-notch houses the usual features.

The screen is absolutely breathtaking, the bezel-less display with top-notch is becoming quite a trend and I'm loving it. The 5.8-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is literally out of this world. Boasting of 1920 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 379.81 pixel per inch density. The multi-touch screen has a 2.5D Curved Glass offering scratch resistant.

Hardware and Software

Behind the beauty is the MediaTek MT6750 chip with Octa-core processor clocking at 1.5 GHz and 64-bit CPU architecture. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 is totally in control, reaching a speed of 520MHz with a 28nm process technology.

For smooth multitasking, 4GB RAM space is available to see through heavy apps with a memory speed of 666MHz. To accommodate all files, 64GB RAM is available to house it all, if it isn't enough, you can always upgrade up to 128GB using a memory card in the SIM slot 2. The M7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with modified UI.

Camera

The dual 16MP + 8MP rear camera adds a symmetrical aesthetics to back of the back of the device and captures 4K resolution images. The camera comes with lots of quality features and a dual-LED flash, ready to photos of 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension. Take selfies with the 5MP selfie camera and record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second.

Battery

Powering the Vernee M7 up is a 4500mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. Charging up the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours.
