When the OnePlus 6 was unveiled in May, it quickly became clear that this is the fastest, largest and most advanced device we have ever seen from OnePlus. OnePlus has clearly brought a flagship killer on the market and if you are still looking for a new device, the OnePlus 6 could be the best option for the next five reasons.
Many smartphone makers throw their own interface software on top of the standard Android version. One does it a bit better than the other, but it usually ensures that you are stuck with all sorts of extra apps and ballast. This can slow down your device. The OnePlus 6 also comes with the OxygenOS, with the difference that OxygenOS is basically just stock Android but with many more options to adjust things. So you get Android, as Google intended it, but still nice with extra possibilities.
OnePlus 6 remains equally fast
A major drawback to smartphones and many devices, in general, is that they are very fast, in the beginning, to become slower and slower after a while. Eventually, you’re done with it and you buy a new device. OnePlus promises, however, that the OnePlus 6 will remain as fast as in the beginning. This would be possible through a combination of powerful hardware andintelligent software. They do not explain exactly how it can be done, but it is certainly worth testing.
Large working memory
With that powerful hardware, they mean at least Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipset. On the Android market, it is currently one of the best processors to plug into your device and it brings efficiency and speed to a higher level compared to its predecessor. What is also nice about the OnePlus 6 is that the processor works with at least 6 GB of RAM. You can even go for an 8GB RAM option. With this large working memory, you can, for example, load open apps very quickly. In real-life test, OnePlus 6 wins, therefore, devices like the Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X.
Nowadays the camera of a device is an important part of the whole and for many people, it is the only camera that they use. That is why it must be of good quality and that is all right with the OnePlus 6. At the back, the device is equipped with a dual camera with a 20 megapixel and 16-megapixel lens. This comes with optical image stabilization, an Advanced HDR feature and Portrait Mode bokeh options. This allows you to include 4k videos in addition to beautiful photos to lift your cinematic arts to a higher level. For an extra dramatic effect, OnePlus has also introduced a Slow Motion mode.
Value for money
What is perhaps the best thing about the OnePlus 6 is that it comes with a premium design with premium specifications, but links it to a very reasonable price. We have to say that the prices over the years have always climbed more and more and that you can no longer say that OnePlus is dirt cheap. But the most expensive model comes with 256GB of storage and 8GB with a price tag of 619 euros, it is significantly lower than the price of the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X. Of course, the OnePlus 6 does not have FaceID, but the price/quality ratio is impressive.
That the OnePlus 6 has almost stock Android is a big advantage to the device. However, it is not the only smartphone with stock Android and more and more smartphone makers choose pure Android. These are currently the best smartphones with stock Android.
