It seems like entry-level smartphones are the way to go now and Wiko won’t be left out. The French smartphone maker has released another device which would serve the entry-level market. This device possesses modest specifications which make it an affordable one too. Stay with me as I walk you through the specifications of Wiko’s new entry-level device – the Wiko Harry.
The device features a stylish metal back cover. It is available in different colour variants – Anthracite, Gold and Bleen which gives a premium look and feel. Wiko Harry measures 145 x 72.7 x 9.15 mm, while it weighs 160 g. I must say that it seems pretty heavy too.
The display size of the device is pegged at 5.0-inch. Display type is an IPS Display, which has a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Having a pixel density of 294 ppi, the device would sure produce fairly clear on-screen images and icons. I don’t know why I have a bit of problem with 5-inch phones. They just seem so small.
PROCESSOR AND OS
The Wiko Harry device runs on an Android operating system v7.0 (Nougat). It is also built on a Quad Core Processor with Mali T720 which would take care of how the device runs. The processor speed is pegged at 1.3GHz.
INTERNAL STORAGE AND RAM
For the storage of your music, videos, files and other documents, the device avails users with 16 GB. This storage space can be expanded up to 128 GB with the use of a micro SD card. On its RAM, 3 GB would take care of switching between apps on the device. I do want to commend Wiko’s interest in the memory department. I think the periods of 1 or 2 GB RAMs should have passed away,
On the rear of the device is a 13 MP Camera that can shoot at 720p HD Video. Other features of the rear camera include Autofocus, LED Flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, Panorama and HDR. While on its front, a 5 MP camera is spotted. The front camera comes with a display flash.
While the Wiko Harry device supports the 4G LTE network, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n is also supported. Bluetooth is of v4.0 and USB v2.0. The supported 4G LTE network can go up to 150 Mbps.
As its powerhouse, the Wiko Harry device is backed by a 2500 mAh Li-ion Battery. Well, this is below our self-recommended average battery capacity. Hence, we would say that this device has been built to serve mostly the light smartphone users. So if you’re a heavy user or even an average smartphone user, you might want to look elsewhere. Battery talk time is up to 10 hours (3G), while standby time is up to 235 hours (3G).
PRICE OF THE WIKO HARRY DEVICE
The cost of the device in Malaysia is RM 599. The price of the Wiko Harry device in Nigeria ranges from N45,000 to N60,000. In Ghana, price should start at around GH₵ 625. Wiko Harry price is expected at around 14,999 Ksh in Kenya.
