Xiaomi is close to announcing a new high-end smartphone into the market, which will be available to succeed the 6 and become the company’s flagship of the year. This device has already leaked in some rumors and Xiaomi also revealed a teaser of the device, confirming its existence. Now, behold, the Mi 7 show up on benchmark site with an old-fashioned chipset for a top of the line smartphone.

While passing through the Geekbench info, we see that the Mi 7 can hit the market with a Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is the model used in top-of-the-line gadgets last year – like Mi 6, its predecessor. Along with this chipset, it will be present with Adreno 540 GPU and 6 GB of RAM. Together these specifications promise a good performance, but lower than its main competitors.

It is worth noting that on other rumors it has been revealed that the Mi 7 will hit the market with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, plus a large 6.1-inch screen with Full HD resolution. We can also expect a look inspired by the latest model of the iPhone, just as Xiaomi usually does on their smartphones.

Technical specifications
  • 6.1-inch screen with OLED technology
  • Full HD + resolution (2160×1080 pixels)
  • 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM
  • 64 GB or 128 GB of RAM
  • Platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 845
  • Dual rear camera
  • Fingerprint reader under the screen
  • NFC Technology
  • 4,000mAh battery
  • Android 8 Oreo

It is worth noting that a supposed variant of Mi 7 has gone through the Geekbench as “Xiaomi Dipper“, using the Snapdragon 845 chipset, as expected. As Xiaomi has yet to confirm any of this information, all that is left is to await the official announcement of the company on the subject, which should happen on May 23, which is the expected date for the launch of Mi 7.
