Xiaomi has expanded its notebook range by officially launching the Mi Notebook Youth Edition. The new model is presented as a less "small" version of the new Mi notebook that was launched last month by the Beijing company, with eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processors and 8 GB of RAM.
As part of the Mi Notebook family, the new device features a 15.6-inch full-HD display and is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, combined with Nvidia GeForce MX110 graphics with discrete 2GB memory and 8 GB of RAM. There are also 128 GB of SSDs, along with 1 TB of hard disk.
Mi Notebook Youth Edition is also equipped with a cooling system that uses a dual fan technology and a dual air outlet. The notebook has a USB 2.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI interface, 3.5mm headphone jack, and two USB 3.0 ports. On the device, we also find a 3-in-1 card reader.
Xiaomi has also equipped the new notebook with two 3W speakers and a chiclet-style keyboard. In addition, Mi Notebook Youth Edition has a thickness of 19.9 mm. As reported by the GizChina portal, the Mi Notebook Youth Edition will be on sale in China at a price of 4,599 Yuan (about 572 euros). At the moment, Xiaomi has not yet provided precise details on its availability.
In addition to the new notebook, the Chinese company has also launched another device: it is the Mi Smart Alarm Clock, which is supported by the voice assistant Xiao AI. Mi Smart Alarm Clock, which is equipped with a digital display that automatically adjusts the brightness, supports voice controls to allow users to postpone an alarm through their own voice. It is also able to set up to 30 different alarms using voice commands. Xiaomi also added the ability to add up to 80 reminders and listen to preset radio stations.
